HSE
The HSE Management System is certified by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) in accordance with OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14001:2004.
Rosetti Marino is committed to ensure the health and safety of its own employees and of whoever is involved in production activities.
Rosetti Marino has adopted a “systemic” approach to the management of safety, health and environmental issues.
The HSE management system is based on a cyclic process for impacts assessment, objectives identification, actions undertaking, monitoring and definition of improvement areas concerning: health and safety protection of workers and contractors, accidents and occupational diseases prevention as well as environmental protection.
Rosetti Marino promotes workers’ health safeguard through the support of the Company Physician and through periodical medical check up.
Attention paid to safety aspects entails the adoption of methodologies and instruments aimed at ensuring risks prevention or minimization, through daily and technical audits, by strictly applying effective procedures, by adopting all the possible measures and initiatives with the goal of preventing workers’ exposure.
Rosetti Marino is committed to improve the conditions of the workplace through prevention and protection programmes aimed at the progressive decrease of the number in accidents both as to employees and contractors.
The following approaches are adopted:
- The technical approach starting with the adoption of reliable engineering solutions and processes, and going on with design activities for which the best possible risk analysis methods are adopted to verify that construction operations are as safe as possible;
- The managerial approach that standardizes, co-ordinates and guides activities in compliance with the highest safety standards;
- The cultural approach, according to which safety stems from a mental attitude marked by respect for oneself and for others.
The risk assessment is a process that starts from the design phase and goes on during construction, commissioning and start-up activities.
This process is made up of the following steps:
- Risk assessment as against the severity and frequency of the event and the likelihood of it happening;
- Development of an action plan including the removal or reduction of the potential risk through technological investments, risk control systems, personnel training and information;
- Plan implementation (objectives, goals, responsibilities, standards, procedures, training, investments, etc.);
- Monitoring activities based on measurement, assessment, correction of individual and process performances.
The environmental protection is pursued in an integrated way, within the different production bases, by implementing the HSE policy and the principles of the HSE Management System Model.
The reference principles of this policy provide for the respect of rules and regulations in force, for the adoption of standards and solutions aimed at environmental protection, energy efficiency, selective collection of waste and personnel training.
