From 2004 Rosetti Marino has successfully contributed to the development of the Kashagan Offshore Field Project (Experimental Program) in the North Caspian Sea by executing several contracts awarded by Agip KCO for fabrication works carried out in Italy and in the Caspian region. Following this successful experience and in order to meet the increasing demand for local content in the next projects in the same region, Rosetti Marino has decided to establish a long term business presence in Kazakhstan.

For this purpose a joint venture company has been settled in Aktau, Mangistau Oblast, under the name of Kazakhstan Caspian Offshore Industries LLP (briefly "KCOI"). This new company has its equity equally shared with a Kazakh partner and will be operated with the aim to design and build a construction yard for offshore plants and structures so as to serve the local oil & gas industry for the various offshore fields expected to be developed in the next years.

KCOI yard will be located in a land plot of about 480.000 square meters, which at the final stage of its development will have a fabrication capacity of up to 2.5 million direct manhours per year up corresponding to about 10.000 metric tons of various structures per year.

According to KCOI present plans and depending on the actual market demand in the North Caspian Region, KCOI will be ready to start its operations in the spring 2011.
